My therapy

The highest ideal of any therapy is to restore health at mental, emotional and physical level, rapidly, gently and permanently. To remove and destroy the whole disease in shortest, surest and least harmful way according to ‘Laws Of Nature’.

In the interest of the patient, to achieve the above, it does not matter what system of therapy we use, whether it be Orthodox surgery, Conventional medicine, Homoeopathy, Herbal medicine, Hypnosis, Acupuncture, Psychotherapy etc., as long as the patient’s health is restored.

In my own experience, I have found that patients suffering from chronic diseases s uch as Asthma, Arthritis, Eczema, Psoriasis, Migraine, Insomnia, Depression, Myalegic Encephalopathy (ME syndrome), Pre-menstrual syndrome, Menopausal symptoms, Back pain, IBS, to name a few, benefit from complementary medicine in addition to their conventional therapy.

My research also indicates that the above chronic diseases present the greatest difficulties to GP’s to treat with Orthodox Medicine and that they would consider the use of Complementary Medicine for these conditions.

My research also shows that 67% of GP’s would consider using Complementary Medicine alongside conventional medicine.

One very interesting project entitled ‘ATTITUDES OF PATIENTS AND GP’s TOWARDS COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINES’ took over a year to complete and involved both patients and over two hundred doctors in Hampshire. Our aim was to find out their views in response to a number of questions set out by Professor Jones and myself.

The results were documented as a professional paper and formed part of the final year student’s project. From the views and answers to our questions. It was interesting to note that more GP’s would like to learn about Complementary Medicine (CM) and to refer patients to qualified and recognized practitioners of CM. There was also an increased interest by patients to be able to see recognized and qualified practitioners of CM.

My own interest in CM and in particular, Homoepathy started about ten years into my profession of Pharmacy. I came across an increasing number of patients with very complex syndromes, symptomology and chronic illnesses that could not be cured by orthodox medicine despite its modern advances in research of disease and medication. There were a number of cases where our knowledge of Pharmacology and therapeutics of modern medicine failed and some conditions and symptoms did not respond to these medicines.

I needed to know why these cases did not respond to orthodox treatment despite our knowledge of the disease and therapy and this spurred me on to embark on a learning mission to find out why? I took up courses in Homoeopathy, herbal medicine, accupuncture and learnt in depth about the philosophy behind these well established systems of therapy and how to use these to help patients with complex illnesses and symptomology. It took me about five years of attending various courses, lectures and seminars including one by well known and world renowned authority on Homoeopathy, George Vathoulkas, who has a well established teaching establishment training orthodox doctors from various countries of the world. I was most interested to come across a lot of orthodox doctors who were also keen to learn about this therapy, as they too came across cases in their practice that did not respond to orthodox medicine.
